Ice pick scars can be reduced using the punch-graft technique. This involves removing the entire scar and suturing the healthy skin together. The result is a much smaller, less visible scar without the indention.

Sinus tracts are tunnels in the skin left behind by inflammation. These can be repaired with skin grafts.

Constriction scars and indentions in the skin caused by underlying scar tissue which is pulling the skin down. Subcision cuts the skin free from the scar tissue without cutting the surface skin, releasing the outer layers to resolve the indentation.
