Arm Lift

An arm lift is also known as brachioplasty. It involves the tightening of the skin on the upper arm. As people age, sometimes this skin loses its elasticity and becomes flabby.

Arm lift surgery is performed using an incision along the under side of the upper arm. Through this incision the skin can be tightened, excess tissue is removed and the incision is then closed with stitches. The end result is a tighter, more youthful-looking upper arm.

Arm lifts may also remove a small amount of fat from the arm.

The recovery process involves some soreness for about a month. This can be controlled using pain relievers if necessary. However, overall, arm lifts are a fairly straightforward, routine procedure.
